If you know your child(ren) would benefit from more time spent outdoors, more time learning by doing, and smaller classes, Watershed is for you! WPCS creates an environment in which parents are partners, teachers are allowed to innovate, and students are provided the structure and flexibility they need to learn.
The application for admission to Watershed is open to any county resident and students are selected via a lottery system. Currently, Watershed Public Charter School serves students in grades K-8.
The lottery application is open from October through January for the following school year.
The lottery is held annually in mid-February. All families who have applied during that year's lottery application cycle will be notified of lottery results in mid-March of the same year. If your student currently attends WPCS, you do not need to reapply. Intent-to-return forms are sent to all current students before the lottery. If you have another student who does not currently attend Watershed but would like to, please apply for that student.

All families who have applied to Watershed in the current lottery cycle are notified of their placement (including the waitlist) by mid-March. Notifications are sent to the email address provided in the application. Families have 10 business days from notification to enroll. If Watershed has not received a response from the family after 10 business days, the student's placement is forfeited and the next family on the waitlist will be notified.
